We are very beginning from the birthplace of lord Krishna. Mathura is the origin of lord Krishna. Mathura is also knows as Brij Bhoomi - The land where Shri Krishna was born and worn-out his youth. Mathura is also famous for the Mathura School of Art, which is accepted for its astonishing sculptures and clay idols. Mathura was the capital of the Surasena Kingdom, ruled by Kamsa the loving uncle of Krishna.
Vrindavan    
It is situated 10 Kms from Mathura and comprises a most important part of the Krishna legend. It is also a extremely blessed Hindu pilgrimage place and is scattered with about 4000 temples. The name 'Vrindavan' is consequent from 'Vrinda', one more name for the blessed tulsi (basil) plant. Banke Bihari Temple was established by Haridas Swami, a modern of the six Goswami's.
