Day 01: Arrival in Delhi

Arrival at Delhi International airport by flight. Go legacy India Journeys and our ambassador will welcome you to Golden Triangle Tour at the Delhi International Airport and escort you to the hotel. Meeting and assistance on arrival at the airport, our representatives receive and attend you by a private car and convey to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Delhi    
The Indian capital city of Delhi has a long history, include a history as the capital of several empires. It is one of India's main rising cities. Delhi has a strong historical background, due to the fact that it was ruled over by some of the most powerful emperors in Indian history. Delhi, has seen the increase and fall of many empires which have left behind an excess of monuments that the majesty and splendor of future ages.

Day 02: Delhi

After breakfast set out on a half-day tour of historic city visiting Old Delhi visiting the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of Taj Mahal fame,.sightseeing continues to visit New Delhi include Rashtrapati Bhawan, Rajghat - memorial of Gandhi & a Rickshaw ride past through the silver street in Chandani Chowk one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the Laxmi Narayan Temple, built by the Birlas, one of India leading industrial families; Humayun& Tomb, India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; lotus shaped Bhai’s Temple, Qutub Minar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; in the evening you can visit see light an sound show at Red fort. Return to the hotel for overnight stay at the hotel.

Light & Sound Show

This is the evening show which recreates the Indian history which is linked with the Red Fort. The Sound and Light Show at Red Fort is of one hour duration which is presented both in Hindi and English. A traveler can see the 330 years long history which starts from Mughal time till independence. This is the major attraction of Red Fort.

Day 03: Delhi- Agra (200 Kms: 4hrs)

Check-out the hotel after breakfast at early morning and drive to Agra. The route shows the Krishna Janam Bhumi and the Museum. Then visit to Bankey Bihari Temple, ISKCON Temple - most beautiful temple is located at Hari Krishna Hill The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and was built by the Hare-Rama Hare-Krishna cult followers in 1998. Vrindavan - The main temples are Govind Dev Temple, Rangaji temple, Bankey Bihari temple, Radha Ballabh temple, Madan Mohan temple, Pagal Baba temple and the Nidhi Van temple. Then drive to Agra and again the route some more monuments to visit. Sikandra - The Tomb of Akbar the Great is an important Mughal architectural masterpiece.  Then continue the drive. On arrival, transfer to hotel and prepare yourself for the visit to one of the wonder of the World after some relaxation. Then visit the exploratory view of Taj Mahal – most beautiful building in the world, the ultimate realization of Emperor Shahjahan's dream. Then the tour continues with Agra Fort – the most important fort in India. It contained the largest state treasury and mint. It was visited by foreign ambassadors, travelers and the highest dignitaries who participated in the making of history in India. Pearl Mosque - Moti Masjid earned the epithet Pearl Mosque for it shined like a pearl. It is held that this mosque was constructed by Shah Jahan for his members of royal court. Tomb of Itamad-ud-Daula - Taj Mahal came its ancestor the tomb of the Itmad-ud-Daula. The queen of Jehangir and the daughter of Itmad-ud-daula Nurjahan built the tomb. After enjoying the beauty of Agra & Mathura, will go to hotel for Night stay.

Agra    

Agra is famous as had conceived one of the Seven Wonders of the World (Taj-Mahal). Agra has a number of monuments ranging from the world known structures. Agra's history is largely recognised with Mughal Kingdom but the place was established much before it and has linkages since Mahabharat period and Mahirshi Angira. Agra has found its mention in the famed Hindu classic Mahabharat as the forest of Agraban close to Mathura. Badal Singh founded the city in 1475. The splendor of Agra was at its peak during the sovereignty of Akbar, Jehangir and Shah Jahan. The beauty of Agra was at its crest during the reign of Akbar, Jehangir and Shah Jahan. The Taj Mahal in Agra is one of the best examples of Mughal architecture in India. However, Agra came into limelight during the law of Afghan King Sikandar Lodhi - who had made it the resources of his empire.

Note: Taj Mahal is closed on every Friday.

Day 04: Agra – Jaipur (240 Kms: 5 hrs)

Checkout from hotel after breakfast in the early morning and drive to Jaipur. The route shows the view of Fatehpur Sikri is a deserted apparition city. This city has many palaces made of bizarre and astonishing Architecture. The most famous are Diwan-i-Khas - A fine taste in jewelry and knowledge of the market was an accomplishment of a Moghul gentleman. Buland Darwaza - The gateway is designed in colored stone and marble. Panch Mahal - The most intrigue building a five-storied pavilion of winds. Khwabgah, Anup Talao - It is also called as "The Peerless Pool or Kapur Talao". On arrival, you will be transfer to hotel. The evening spends with the visit to Birla Temple – marvelous temple in white marble.  This day ends with the dinner at Chokhi Dhani – a cultural 5 star resort serving Rajasthani cuisine with live music, astrology games, folk dances, puppet shows. Then return to hotel to spend the night.

Jaipur    
Jaipur also popularly known as the Pink City is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan. Jaipur is the first planned city of India, located in the semi-desert lands of Rajasthan. The city which once had been the capital of the royalty now is the capital city of Rajasthan. The very structure of Jaipur resembles the taste of the Rajputs and the Royal families. At present, Jaipur is a major business centre with all requisites of a metropolitan city. The active streets of Jaipur get plenty of visitors. The Ancient Testimonials in the form of mind-blowing monuments remind one of the past ages. The city has given birth to the famous structures like Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Amber Fort, the best architectural examples of India

Day 05: Jaipur

Today you can explore the pink city with adventure activity after breakfast. You can go for Excursion to Amber Fort - is one of the major tourist attractions of Jaipur. Then enjoy the elephant ride from the top of the hill on which fort is situated. Jaipur is known for its blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Sightseeing of Jaipur starts from Central Museum - the oldest museum of the state with its extensive collection of archaeological and handicraft exhibits is housed in the stately building of Albert Hall. Jantar Mantar - Jantar Mantar at Jaipur is the largest stone observatory in the World which has a remarkable collection of architectural astronomical instruments. Hawa Mahal - Hawa Mahal is a major landmark and a famous tourist attraction of Jaipur. In evening visit to the famous markets of Textiles, Gems, Carpets and handicrafts. After that you can see movie at Raj Mandir Cinema Hall - the gorgeous cinema hall in Asia or can take a rikshaw ride to explore the colorful market of Jaipur.

Day 06: Jaipur – Kolkata (by Air)

Take an excursion after breakfast to Samode – 40 Kms away from Jaipur. On arrival visit Samode Palace- Samode Palace is one of the charming and romantic edifices in Rajasthan. The Sheesh Mahal – the palace of mirrors, in yester years, sunlight reflected off mirrors was used to communicate the advancing enemy’s position with the nearby Mahar Fort. You can take camel cart ride to explore the semi desert village of Samode. Return to Jaipur to check out the hotel and transfer to the airport to board the flight for Kolkata. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Samode

   

Samode is situated about 42 Kms North West from Jaipur located on the Agra – Bikaner highway. Samode is nestled in foothills of the Aravali Range. This village offers a relaxed atmosphere. It is the perfect place to experience India rural life, traditional agriculture. Camel Safari is the most exciting adventure experience which the tourists on the tour to the village must not miss out. Samode Palace is one of the charming and romantic edifices in Rajasthan. Around 8000people reside in Samode Village with mainly artisans and craftsmen. Animal Husbandry, crafts and agriculture are the main source of income for the Samode Village people.

Day 07: Kolkata

Take Sightseeing tour of the city, after breakfast. Visiting continues with the High court building - The Calcutta High Court is the oldest High Court in India. It was established on 1st July, 1862 under the High Court’s Act, 1861, oldest Catholic Church in Kolkata, The Howrah Bridge - Bridge is an engineering marvel and is counted amongst the busiest cantilever bridge in the World, Constructed in 1939 and the bridge, the Botanical Gardens - Botanical gardens of Kolkata, India are situated 8 Kms away from the city, on the west bank of the Ganga, covering an area of about 273 acres. Laid out in the year 1787, Calcutta botanical garden is one of the oldest and largest botanical gardens of India, Victoria Memorial - The memorial was designed by Sir William Emerson in an architectural style similar to Belfast City Hall, Marble Palace - Marble Palace is a palatial nineteenth-century mansion in North Kolkata. It is one of the best-preserved and most elegant houses of nineteenth-century; there is also a private zoo here. Return back to hotel for night stay.

Kolkata

   

Kolkata was once the capital city of British India and also the Gateway to India till 1912. Now it ranks among the four major metropolis of India. In 1686, the British abandoned Hooghly, their trading post 38km up the Hooghly River from present-day Kolkata. Kolkata is a city that, in all senses, can be termed as India of past, of present and of future. It is considered as the intellectual and cultural capital of India. Drive through Kolkata, and its history zips past you on every corner. Kolkata was the former capital of British India and one can still see the glimpses of that era in the numerous colonial buildings still dominating the surrounding landscape. Kolkata is a dreamland for food lovers with some of the best known restaurants and street food outlets in India.

Day 08: Kolkata – Bagdogra (By Air) – Darjeeling (90 Kms: 4 hrs)

Check out from the hotel, after breakfast and transfer to airport to board the flight for Bagdogra. On arrival, drive to Darjeeling and then transfer to hotel. This evening is kept free for its leisure to get pleasure from this Hill Station’s atmosphere. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Darjeeling

   

Darjeeling in the eastern state of West Bengal offers the cool height of the Himalayas. The nature is at its best. The spectacular sunrise and sunsets are unforgettable sights at Darjeeling India. Darjeeling lies 686 Kms from the plains of Kolkata perched at a height of 2134 meters with a backdrop of the mighty snow clad Himalayan Peaks. One can get a clear view of the world’s third mightiest and highest mountainous snow peaks, Kanchenjunga, from the town on a sunny day. The Everest can also be seen from near the town. Darjeeling is internationally famous for its tea industry and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. The mountains awaken first with a tentative peeking of the sun. A steep ride, five kilometers from Ghoom, or an invigorating walk up a steep incline, leads sun worshippers to Tiger Hill. The air is chilly with darkness and damp.

Day 09: Darjeeling

Early morning drive to Tiger Hill to enjoy awesome view of sunrise over snow peaks of Mt. Kanchenjunga Range - the world’s third highest 8,586m, but the most romantic mountain, visit to Batasia Loop - is the scenic gigantic railway loop where the Darjeeling toy train makes a 360 degree turn. , Ghoom Monastery -  It is considered to be one of the holiest monasteries as this was personally blessed by the renowned Tomo Geshe Rimpoche of Tibet, Tibetan Self-Help Refuge Centre - the Centre has undertaken the task of helping orphans, the aged, the infirm and the needy among the refugees, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute - Mountaineering and Everest Museum, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park - Padmaji Naidu Zoological Park is claimed to be the only zoo in the world to breed Tibetan wolf in captivity. It is also the first South Asian zoo to breed Snow Leopard and Siberian Tiger. Rare red pandas are also seen here. Entering into the Tea Gardens to observe Tea Plantation. Return back to hotel for night stay.

Day 10: Darjeeling – Gangtok (105 Kms: 4 hrs)

Check out from the hotel, after breakfast and drive to Gangtok. The route takes you to Peshok Tea Gardens - Lovers point in Peshok is nearly 30 kilometers away from Darjeeling on the road to Teesta / Tista via the Peshok Tea Estate. Then continue to Gangtok. On arrival, transfer to hotel. Then the tour continues with the sightseeing of the city from Tashi View Point - is set in the midst of beautiful scenic views, and is the perfect place to look at the abundant natural panoramic bounty of Sikkim, Ganesh Tok - It stands at a height of 6,500 feet, Hanuman Tok - he total height of the Hanuman Tok is 7,200 feet. To reach this temple, you have to ascend a height of 5 kms from the White Hall, Do Drul Chorten - The famous Do Drul Chorten has a gold plated spire, Flower Show – The show of variety of beautiful flowers, Cottage Industries, Enchey Monastery - Approximately two hundred years old, the Enchey Monastery situated on a hill top is an important seat of the Nyingma order. The name 'Enchey Monastery' means 'the Solitary temple'. Then return back to hotel for night stay.

Gangtok

   

Gangtok is the capital and largest town of Sikkim. It is the "Lofty Hill" or the "Hill made flat to build the Gangtok monastery in 1716". One can find a harmonious blend of diverse culture and religion in Sikkim Gangtok. The people of Gangtok have a strong bonding with their age-old traditions and customs. Despite of these, Gangtok is definitely not behind the rest of the world in terms of urbanization - broad roads, flyovers, posh markets, state-of-art hospital, educational institutes, fast food outlets, discotheques, and all other modern amenities that the heart can desire for.

Day 11: Gangtok

Take an excursion after breakfast to Tsomgo Lake – Located at a height of 12400 ft, at a distance of 38 Km from Gangtok Tsomgo Lake is 1 Km long and enjoy Yak ride and Tibetans dish momo. Evening is kept free for its leisure. Return back to hotel for night stay.

Day 12: Gangtok

Take an excursion after breakfast to Rumtek Monastery - Rumtek 24 Kms. from Gangtok, a famous monastery all over the world, especially among the Tibetan Buddhists, and is situated near Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Originally called the Dharma Chakra Centre, it includes a beautiful shrine temple and a monastery for the monks. The 16th Karmapa built the monastery. The place got an existence in the Buddhist pilgrimage map, especially after Chinese habitation in Tibet and subsequent relocations of some Tibetan religious gurus to Sikkim.Return back to hotel for night stay.

Day 13: Gangtok – Badgora – Delhi – Hometown (by Air)

Checkout the hotel, after breakfast and drive to Bagdogra. On arrival, transfer to the airport to board the flight for Delhi. Then again connecting to board the connecting flight for hometown. Tour concludes here with happy memories.
