Day 01: Arrival in Delhi

 

Arrival at Delhi International airport by flight. Go legacy India Journeys and our ambassador will welcome you to Golden Triangle Tour at the Delhi International Airport and escort you to the hotel. Meeting and assistance on arrival at the airport, our representatives receive and attend you by a private car and convey to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel

Delhi

   

The Indian capital city of Delhi has a long history, include a history as the capital of several empires. It is one of India's main rising cities. Delhi has a strong historical background, due to the fact that it was ruled over by some of the most powerful emperors in Indian history. Delhi, has seen the increase and fall of many empires which have left behind an excess of monuments that the majesty and splendor of future ages.

Day 02: Delhi

   

After breakfast set out on a half-day tour of historic city visiting Old Delhi visiting the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of Taj Mahal fame,.sightseeing continues to visit New Delhi include Rashtrapati Bhawan, Rajghat - memorial of Gandhi & a Rickshaw ride past through the silver street in Chandani Chowk one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the Laxmi Narayan Temple, built by the Birlas, one of India leading industrial families; Humayun& Tomb, India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; lotus shaped Bhai’s Temple, Qutub Minar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; in the evening you can visit see light an sound show at Red fort. Return to the hotel for overnight stay at the hotel.

Light & Sound Show

This is the evening show which recreates the Indian history which is linked with the Red Fort. The Sound and Light Show at Red Fort is of one hour duration which is presented both in Hindi and English. A traveler can see the 330 years long history which starts from Mughal time till independence. This is the major attraction of Red Fort.

Day 03: Delhi- Agra (200 Kms, 4hrs)

Check-out the hotel after breakfast at early morning and drive to Agra. The route shows the Krishna Janam Bhumi and the Museum. Then visit to Bankey Bihari Temple, ISKCON Temple - most beautiful temple is located at Hari Krishna Hill The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and was built by the Hare-Rama Hare-Krishna cult followers in 1998. Vrindavan - The main temples are Govind Dev Temple, Rangaji temple, Bankey Bihari temple, Radha Ballabh temple, Madan Mohan temple, Pagal Baba temple and the Nidhi Van temple. Then drive to Agra and again the route some more monuments to visit. Sikandra - The Tomb of Akbar the Great is an important Mughal architectural masterpiece.  Then continue the drive. On arrival, transfer to hotel and prepare yourself for the visit to one of the wonder of the World after some relaxation. Then visit the exploratory view of Taj Mahal – most beautiful building in the world, the ultimate realization of Emperor Shahjahan's dream. Then the tour continues with Agra Fort – the most important fort in India. It contained the largest state treasury and mint. It was visited by foreign ambassadors, travelers and the highest dignitaries who participated in the making of history in India. Pearl Mosque - Moti Masjid earned the epithet Pearl Mosque for it shined like a pearl. It is held that this mosque was constructed by Shah Jahan for his members of royal court. Tomb of Itamad-ud-Daula - Taj Mahal came its ancestor the tomb of the Itmad-ud-Daula. The queen of Jehangir and the daughter of Itmad-ud-daula Nurjahan built the tomb. After enjoying the beauty of Agra & Mathura, will go to hotel for Night stay.

Agra

   

Agra is famous as had conceived one of the Seven Wonders of the World (Taj-Mahal). Agra has a number of monuments ranging from the world known structures. Agra's history is largely recognised with Mughal Kingdom but the place was established much before it and has linkages since Mahabharat period and Mahirshi Angira. Agra has found its mention in the famed Hindu classic Mahabharat as the forest of Agraban close to Mathura. Badal Singh founded the city in 1475. The splendor of Agra was at its peak during the sovereignty of Akbar, Jehangir and Shah Jahan. The beauty of Agra was at its crest during the reign of Akbar, Jehangir and Shah Jahan. The Taj Mahal in Agra is one of the best examples of Mughal architecture in India. However, Agra came into limelight during the law of Afghan King Sikandar Lodhi - who had made it the resources of his empire.

Note: Taj Mahal is closed on every Friday.

Day 04:  Agra - Jaipur (240 Kms, 5 hrs)

Early morning you have option to visit Taj Mahal to see its beauty at Sun rise. Checkout from hotel after breakfast in the early morning and drive to Jaipur. The route shows the view of Fatehpur Sikri – is a deserted apparition city. This city has many palaces made of bizarre and astonishing Architecture. The most famous are Diwan-i-Khas - A fine taste in jewelry and knowledge of the market was an accomplishment of a Moghul gentleman. Buland Darwaja - The gateway is designed in colored stone and marble. Panch Mahal - The most intrigue building a five-storied pavilion of winds. Khwabgah, Anup Talao - It is also called as "The Peerless Pool or Kapur Talao". On arrival, you will be transfer to hotel. The evening spends with the visit to Birla Temple – marvelous temple in white marble.  This day ends with the dinner at Chokhi Dhani – a cultural 5 star resort serving Rajasthani cuisine with live music, astrology games, folk dances, puppet shows. Then return to hotel to spend the night.

Day 05: Jaipur

Today you can explore the pink city with adventure activity after breakfast. You can go for Excursion to Amber Fort - is one of the major tourist attractions of Jaipur. Then enjoy the elephant ride from the top of the hill on which fort is situated. Jaipur is known for its blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Sightseeing of Jaipur starts from Central Museum - the oldest museum of the state with its extensive collection of archaeological and handicraft exhibits is housed in the stately building of Albert Hall. Jantar Mantar - Jantar Mantar at Jaipur is the largest stone observatory in the World which has a remarkable collection of architectural astronomical instruments. Hawa Mahal - Hawa Mahal is a major landmark and a famous tourist attraction of Jaipur. In evening visit to the famous markets of Textiles, Gems, Carpets and handicrafts. After that you can see movie at Raj Mandir Cinema Hall - the gorgeous cinema hall in Asia or can take a rikshaw ride to explore the colorful market of Jaipur.

Jaipur

   

Jaipur also popularly known as the Pink City is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan. Jaipur is the first planned city of India, located in the semi-desert lands of Rajasthan. The city which once had been the capital of the royalty now is the capital city of Rajasthan. The very structure of Jaipur resembles the taste of the Rajputs and the Royal families. At present, Jaipur is a major business centre with all requisites of a metropolitan city. The active streets of Jaipur get plenty of visitors. The Ancient Testimonials in the form of mind-blowing monuments remind one of the past ages. The city has given birth to the famous structures like Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Amber Fort, the best architectural examples of India.

Day 06: Jaipur – Samode – Neemrana – Delhi (260 Kms: 5 Hrs)

Take an excursion after breakfast to Samode – 40 Kms away from Jaipur. On arrival visit Samode Palace- Samode Palace is one of the charming and romantic edifices in Rajasthan. The Sheesh Mahal – the palace of mirrors, in yester years, sunlight reflected off mirrors was used to communicate the advancing enemy’s position with the nearby Mahar Fort. You can take camel cart ride to explore the semi desert village of Samode. Return to Jaipur and after relaxation, check out the hotel and drive to Delhi. The route leads you to Neemrana Fort - is among India's oldest heritage resorts. Here you can also have your Lunch. Then continue the journey to Delhi. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Samode

   

Samode is situated about 42 Kms North West from Jaipur located on the Agra – Bikaner highway. Samode is nestled in foothills of the Aravali Range. This village offers a relaxed atmosphere. It is the perfect place to experience India rural life, traditional agriculture. Camel Safari is the most exciting adventure experience which the tourists on the tour to the village must not miss out. Samode Palace is one of the charming and romantic edifices in Rajasthan. Around 8000people reside in Samode Village with mainly artisans and craftsmen. Animal Husbandry, crafts and agriculture are the main source of income for the Samode Village people.

Neemrana Fort

   

 The oldest Palace which built since 1464 AD and resorted is 1980s. Neemrana has a variety of rooms with different views and decors. Neemrana has all the facilities of a Modern 5-star resort. But more than that Neemrana is visited by many tourists for the sheer experience it provides of living in the royal past.  

Day 07: Delhi – Aurangabad (by Air)

Checkout from the hotel, after breakfast and drive to the airport to board the flight for Aurangabad. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Aurangabad - Rich with the heritage of medieval past, Aurangabad is a modern city. Nestled in the heart of Kham River, Aurangabad makes a must visit destination in Maharasthra. Though famous to be the gateway to the world-famous caves Ajanta and Ellors. After relaxation visit to Daulatabad Fort - This place is known for its majestic fortress which was build in 12th century on top of a hill. It is one of the world's best preserved forts of medieval times and also one of the few impregnable forts in Maharashtra with excellent architecture. Bibi-ka-Maqbara - The Bibi-Ka-Maqbara is a beautiful mausoleum of Rabia-ul-Daurani alias Dilras Banu Begum, the wife of the Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb, Panchakki -  also known as the water mill, takes its name from the mill which used to grind grain for the pilgrims, Return back to hotel for night stay.

Aurangabad

   

Aurangabad is an important city in the state of Maharashtra, India. It sees a lot of international tourist traffic due to world heritage sites, Ajanta & Ellora caves. The city served the real purpose of its ancient name as the Mughals could look into the Deccan through it. Later in 1953 the city was renamed as Aurangabad when Aurangazeb took over the Deccan kingdom. Aurangabad is most famous for its historical monuments and caves. Aurangabad became a flourishing industrial centre with many fine academic institutions; its textiles became much sought.

Day 08: Aurangabad – Ajanta (105 Kms, 2hrs)

The visit continues with Ajanta Caves, after breakfast. Ajanta Caves - Ajanta is world's greatest historical monument recognized by UNESCO. They are placed in a horseshoe shape about 3.5 m away from the village. The river Wagura, a mountain stream flows along the bottom of the ravine. This river falls from a height of 200 ft, thus making a series of waterfalls. The sound of the waterfalls can be heard in the caves also.  Return back to Aurangabad for night stay.

Ajanta

   

Ajanta is world's greatest historical monument recognized by UNESCO. There are 30 caves in Ajanta. These caves were discovered in AD 1819 and were built up in the earlier 2nd century BC-AD. All paintings show heavy religious influence. The paintings are executed on a ground of mud-plaster in the tempera technique. About 30 caves were excavated between the 1st century BCE and the 7th century CE and are of two types, caityas ("sanctuaries") and viharas ("monasteries"). Although the sculpture, particularly the rich ornamentation of the caitya pillars, is noteworthy, it is the fresco-type paintings that are the chief significance of Ajanta. These paintings illustrate vivid Buddhist myths and divinities with an enthusiasm and liveliness that is unsurpassed in Indian art.

Note: The Ajanta Caves are closed on all Monday.


Day 09: Aurangabad – Ellora (30 Kms, 30 min) – Mumbai (by air)

Take sightseeing tour of Ellora after breakfast, Ellora – most visited heritage sites of India. It has 34 caves which illustrate the religious harmony of Buddhist, Hindu and Jain. After visit return to Aurangabad, check out of the hotel and drive to the airport to board the flight for Mumbai. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Ellora

   

Ellora is an archaeological site, 30 km from the city of Aurangabad. Ellora is a World Heritage Site. Ellora represents the embodiment of Indian rock-cut architecture. The 34 "caves" – actually structures excavated out of the vertical face of the Charanandri hill – being Buddhist, Hindu and Jain rock cut temples and monasteries, were built between the 5th century and 10th century. The 12 Buddhist, 17 Hindu and 5 Jain caves, built in proximity, make obvious the religious harmony prevalent during this period of Indian history. Ellora is a World Heritage Site and the most visited ancient monument in Maharashtra State.
Note: The Ellora Caves are closed on all Tuesday.

Day 10: Mumbai

The tour continues with sightseeing in Mumbai, after early morning breakfast. Drive to Gateway of India - The Gateway is a huge stone Arch of Triumph originally constructed to commemorates the first-ever visit of a British Monarch to India and fro there to Elephanta Caves -  This rock cut temples were created by carving out rock, and creating the columns, the internal spaces and the images. The entire temple covers an area of about 60000 sq ft. The most famous Panels in Caves are - The Sadasiva manifestation of Shiva is carved in relief at the end of the north south axis.  This collossal 20 feet high image of the three headed Shiva, Trimurthy is a magnificient one, considered to be a masterpiece of Indian art.  This colossal image represents Panchamukha Shiva, only three faces of whom are carved into the wall and it demands immediate attention upon entering the temple through the northern entrance. In the noon you can have lunch at the hotel or several good restaurants serving continental cuisine. Then visit continues with Prince of Wales Museum - There is an entire gallery devoted to Buddhist tankha scrolls and another to Tibetan bronzes, but the chief attraction here is the collection of over 2000 miniature paintings from the various art schools of India. , Taraporewala Aquarium - The aquarium has a good collection of sea and fresh water fish and other marine life. , Parliament House, Marine Drive -  Looped between the concrete jungle of Nariman Point, Mumbai's Manhattan, and the leafy green slopes of Malabar hill, Marine Drive was once called the queen's Necklace, strung with glittering street lights like an enormous strand of imperious jewels. Jain Temple - The opulent architecture reflects heights of artistic expression and large heartedness of enterprising Jain community who give hefty donations for religious purposes and Hanging Garden - Perched at the top of Malabar Hill, on its western side, just opposite the Kamala Nehru Park, these terraced gardens, also known as Ferozeshah Mehta Gardens, provide lovely sunset views over the Arabian Sea.. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Mumbai

   

Mumbai, the biggest metropolis of India, is a city that virtually never sleeps. It is called as the Commercial Capital of India. Mumbai was given by Portuguese as dowry to Charles II of England when he married Catherine. The group of seven islands was leased to the East India Company who offered freedom of business and religion to persons who came and settled here. Today also Mumbai is a city of migrants. People from all over the country have come and settled here. This gives the society of Mumbai a multi-lingual and multi-cultural colour. Mumbai is famous for many things, including its flourishing Bollywood film industry, swarming bazaars, colonial-style buildings, Art Deco structures and an outstanding choice of restaurants, often being rated as the dining capital of India. The tourist district of Colaba is a great place to start exploring the city and multilingual guides can be arranged should you wish to find out more about Mumbai's history.

Note: Elephanta Caves and Prince of Wales Museum are closed on every Monday.

Day 11: Mumbai – Hometown (by Air)

This day is kept free for shopping in the local markets, after breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport to board the flight for hometown. Tour concludes here with happy reminiscences.
